Problem:
Electric dryer circuit board needs to be replaced
Solution:
Kenmore appliances are actually made by Whirlpool, GE, Frigidaire, or LG. There
are a lot of manufacturers that produce products for them and they're sold
under the Kenmore name.
A Kenmore dryer with the catalyst function is probably a Whirlpool product. The issue is with the thermostat in the circuit board. Unfortunately, the entire circuit board will have to be replaced.

Problem:
Hums but won't start when the start button is pushed
Solution:
It's either the motor failed or you have something caught
in the blower housing. If you're missing any socks or other
garments, things that get past the lint trap sometimes get in there and bind
against the blower wheel. So, it's either a physical
restriction or something holding up the blower wheel, or the motor itself is
just tired. Either one will give you that problem.
