Jenn-Air Dryer
Problem:
Dryer doesn't tumble
Solution:
Dryers have a drive belt
(part #341241) that turns the clothes drum. If the belt breaks or is worn out the drum stops rotating. It is a good idea to replace the idler pulley (part #31001344) at the same time, because the pulley tends to wear out simultaneously.
If the dryer motor doesn’t move but only hums when you press the start button, the motor may be burned out. If burned out, the motor or the motor start capacitor needs to be replaced to complete this Jenn-Air dryer repair.
Check the dryer door switch to make sure it is not defective. Your dryer can't operate at all if the door switch is not working. If defective, it needs to be replaced.
