GE Refrigerator
Problem:
The food in the GE refrigerator is
freezing
Solution:
It sounds like the refrigerator temperature is not set properly;
it should be between 35 and 42 degrees. You can check the temperature with a refrigerator
thermometer, if it is too low then adjust the temperature up a little.
If the temperature is too low and the refrigerator will not get warmer by adjusting the temperature control then you probably have a defective thermostat.

GE
Side by Side Refrigerator
Problem:
The freezer door seal
is leaking slightly due to a gap between the seal and the door on the frame
side where it closes in the center.
Solution:
Sometimes the door
can be adjusted; loosen the screws around the perimeter and slightly warp the
door so that a portion of the door will sit closer to the frame. Another thing
that generally works well with gaskets is to take a hairdryer, close the
door and gently go over that area back and forth. Be careful not to overheat
the gasket. After a period of time sometimes the plastic in the gasket can
become brittle. Using a hairdryer in that area and gently going back and forth
can make it a little more elastic in the plastic of the door seal, and the
magnetic strip that runs around the perimeter of the door seal will pull it
right back into the frame.

1967 GE Refrigerator, Model TC469VC
Problem:
A thick tacky shellac type material on the door seals is
quite gummy and it doesn't come off, preventing door gasket from sealing
properly.
Solution:
One
thing you can do if you don't use this refrigerator every day, if it's a second
refrigerator, you can take the door gaskets off and try soaking them in a
cleaning solution and hot water, not boiling.
Other than trying to soak it, that's about the only thing I can suggest. As far as replacement gaskets there is a cut to fit door gasket kit (part #WR24X517) available that you can replace it with, however it's kind of labor-intensive and it doesn't always work out too well.
