Frigidaire Front Load Washing Machine
Problem:
Washing machines sounds like an airplane taking off
Solution:
When your Frigidaire front load washing machine sounds like an airplane taking
off it is usually because the rear bearing is bad
and needs to be replaced. Unfortunately, the rear bearing is only available as
part of the tub assembly, which can be a little costly.

Problem:
Washer won’t spin in any cycle
Solution:
Most often, it's the motor spin control board (part #131725300). There are tests you
can do on the timer that will, as it advances, show you how it will pulse back
and forth for sending the signal to the board, five seconds on, five seconds
off which is pulsating the agitation and reversing the motor (part #131276200). And, there is a service manual (part #5995271441) available which
gets more into the step by step instructions.
The board can be expensive, so you may want to inspect other parts on your washer to decide whether it’s worth it to replace the board, or if it’s time for a new washing machine. Make sure the boot (part #5303937187) looks okay. Look at the back of the unit and see if there are any signs of leakage through the main shaft going through the tub. If you have a shaft seal leak that's normally a sign you're going to have a bearing problem in the future, which can also be an expensive repair. Just take a general inspection and go from there.
